경기도의회 서성란 의원, 의왕 1-1번 시내버스 증차 위한 간담회 개최

경기도의회 서성란 의원(국민의힘, 의왕2)이 지난 9월 25일 의왕상담소에서 경기도 버스정책과, 의왕시·안양시 교통 담당 부서, 운수업체 관계자들과 함께 의왕 1-1번(월암~사당) 시내버스 증차를 위한 간담회를 가졌다.

간담회 참석자들은 출·퇴근 및 등·하교 시간대 좌석 부족, 장시간 대기, 대규모 아파트 입주로 인한 승객 증가 등으로 심화된 배차 문제와 혼잡률, 그리고 시내버스 공공관리제 운영의 한계에 대해 집중 논의했다.

서성란 의원은 “1-1번은 의왕 시민의 통학·통근을 책임지는 핵심 생활노선으로, 최소 3대 이상의 증차가 반드시 필요하다”며, “시민들이 그동안 불편을 감내해 온 만큼 이번에는 반드시 개선돼야 한다”고 강조했다.

의왕시 교통정책과는 “내년 6월까지 아파트 입주가 본격화되면 수요 폭증이 불가피하다”며, 조속한 대책 필요성을 호소했다. 운수업체 측은 “면허상 16대 중 10대만 운행되는 공공관리제 한계로 시민 불편이 가중되고 있다”며 제도 개선을 요구했다.

이에 대해 경기도 버스정책과는 “증차 필요성에는 공감하지만 올해 예산은 이미 마무리돼 내년도 예산 상황에 따라 시행 시기를 조정할 수밖에 없다”는 입장을 밝혔다.

서성란 의원은 “의왕 1-1번 문제는 더 이상 미룰 수 없는 과제”라며, “시민 불편 해소를 위해 반드시 증차를 추진하고, 프리미엄버스 확대 등 교통망 개선도 병행하겠다”고 말했다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Seo Seong-ran (People Power Party, Uiwang 2) held a meeting on September 25th at the Uiwang Counseling Center with representatives from the Gyeonggi Province Bus Policy Division, the transportation departments of Uiwang and Anyang, and transportation companies to discuss increasing the number of buses on Uiwang Route 1-1 (Wollam-Sadang).
