[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 태국 람푼 주의 위라데짓 푸피싯 민선지사와 관련 인사단 13명이 문화·축제 교류 및 상호협력을 위해 축제장을 방문했다고 13일 밝혔다.
이번 방문단은 남강과 진주성 일원에 전시된 유등을 둘러보며 세계적인 문화축제로 발전한 진주남강유등축제 운영 노하우를 공유받고, 양 도시 간 ‘유등’을 매개로 한 문화교류 협력 확대 방안에 대해 논의했다.
람푼 주는 매년 10월 말부터 11월 중순까지 태국 북부의 대표적인 전통 문화행사인 ‘람푼 등불 축제를 개최해 등불 장식, 소망 등불 매달기 체험 등 다채로운 프로그램으로 많은 관광객을 끌어모으고 있다.
