도서출판 글마루(대표 하영권)는 최근 신간 『우리문자 우리역사』의 출간을 기념해 저자 이찬구 박사를 초청, 특별 강연을 연다. 이번 강연은 동북공정과 식민사관의 한계를 극복하고 우리 문자의 정체성과 역사적 근원을 새롭게 조명하기 위해 마련된 자리다.
이찬구 박사는 고조선 문자와 홍산문화 연구를 비롯해 우리 고대 문명의 원형을 탐구해온 역사학자로, 최근에는 고조선 문자 발견 등 중요한 성과를 거두며 주목받고 있다.
출판기념 저자 특강은 두 차례에 걸쳐 진행된다.
첫 번째 강연은 10월 18일(토) 오후 4시부터 6시까지, 두 번째 강연은 10월 25일(토) 오후 3시부터 5시까지 열린다. 장소는 종로3가 천도교 수운회관 1411호(안국역 5번 출구, 종로3가역 1번 출구 인근)다. 현장에서는 『우리문자 우리역사』를 구입한 독자들을 대상으로 저자 사인회도 함께 진행될 예정이다.
이덕일 교수(동방문화대학원대학교)는 “이 책 『우리문자 우리역사』는 아직도 식민사학의 잔재가 남아 있는 한국 역사학계의 현실을 되돌아보게 하며, 우리 역사 연구가 나아가야 할 방향을 제시한다”고 평했다.
이번 강연은 우리 문자와 역사의 뿌리를 올바르게 이해하고자 하는 학계와 시민 모두에게 뜻깊은 시간이 될 것으로 기대된다.

Special Lecture by Dr. Lee Chan-goo to Celebrate the Publication of “Our Script, Our History”
Geulmaru Publishing (CEO Ha Young-kwon) will host a special lecture by historian Dr. Lee Chan-goo to commemorate the release of his new book, Our Script, Our History.
The lecture is organized to re-examine the identity and historical origins of the Korean script and to overcome the long-standing limitations of both the Northeast Project and colonial historiography.
Dr. Lee has long devoted himself to the study of ancient Korean writing systems, including research on Gojoseon characters and the Hongshan Culture. His recent discovery of early Kojoseon Chinese characters has drawn wide attention from scholars at home and abroad.
The author’s commemorative lectures will be held twice:
October 18 (Sat), 4:00 – 6:00 PM
October 25 (Sat), 3:00 – 5:00 PM
Both sessions will take place at Room 1411, Cheondogyo Suun Hall, near Anguk Station (Exit 5) and Jongno 3-ga Station (Exit 1) in Seoul.
A book-signing session will also be held for readers who purchase Our Script, Our History on site.
Prof. Lee Deok-il of Dongbang Culture Graduate University commented,
