전북 익산시가 자동차 의무보험 미가입 운행 근절을 위해 단속을 강화한다.
익산시는 특별사법경찰관을 통해 올 9월 말 기준 검찰 송치 106건ㆍ지명통보(수배) 21건ㆍ압수수색 영장 발부 4건ㆍ체포영장 8건 등 적극적으로 수사를 진행했다고 17일 밝혔다.
신규 사건과 전년도 미해결 사건 처리를 위해 차량 소유자를 소환ㆍ조사해 ▲ 진술서 작성 ▲ 범칙금 부과 ▲ 타기관 이첩 등의 조치를 하고 있다.
무보험 운행 위반 건수가 1건인 경우, 범칙금 부과를 통해 가입을 유도하는 등 보험 만료일을 잊고 운행하는 사례 등을 고려해 시청 누리집ㆍ전광판ㆍ다양한 매체를 통해 의무보험 가입의 중요성을 지속 홍보하고 있다.
