브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 현대자동차와 기아가 소프트웨어를 중심으로 진화하는 자동차(Software Defined Vehicle)의 개발 체계 가속화를 위해 소프트웨어 개발 인재 육성과 우수 인력 확보에 나선다.
현대차·기아는 오는 11월 4일까지 소프트웨어 개발자를 대상으로 하는 채용 연계형 교육과정 ‘소프티어 부트캠프(Softeer Bootcamp) 7기’ 참가자를 모집한다고 20일 밝혔다.
‘소프티어’는 소프트웨어(Software)와 엔지니어(Engineer)의 합성어이자 차량 소프트웨어 분야의 개척자(Frontier)라는 의미를 담은 이름이다.
현대차·기아는 이번 모집에서 △웹 프론트엔드(front-end) △웹 백엔드(back-end) △데이터 엔지니어링 △서비스 기획 △UI(User Interface) 디자인 등 5개 분야 총 86명 규모로 참가자를 선발한다.
모집 대상은 2025년 8월 국내외 대학교 졸업자부터 2026년 8월 졸업 예정자로, 공식 홈페이지를 통해 지원 가능하다.
현대차·기아는 분야별로 지원자의 기초역량과 지식검증을 위해 두 차례의 온라인 평가와 인성검사 및 면접을 통해 교육 참가자를 선발하고, 12월부터 내년 2월까지 총 8주간 교육 프로그램을 전액 무상으로 운영한다.
교육생은 1개월간의 이론교육을 마친 뒤 팀 단위 프로젝트 수행을 통해 현업의 개발 프로세스에 대한 감각을 익히게 된다. 최종 결과물은 현대차·기아 실무진이 직접 심사한다.
특히, 교육 과정 중 현직 실무진과 교육생이 교류하는 직무별 밋업(Meet-up)과 1:1 멘토링 등을 통해 실무 역량을 높일 방침이다.
과정을 우수하게 마친 교육생은 최종면접을 거쳐 현대차·기아의 △소프트웨어 개발자 △서비스 기획자 △UI 디자이너 △데이터 엔지니어링 등의 직무로 입사할 수 있는 채용 혜택이 주어진다.
현대차·기아 ICT담당 진은숙 부사장은 “소프티어 부트캠프는 우리 사회와 미래 IT환경에 긍정적 변화를 가져오기 위한 노력의 일환”이라며 “선발 과정과 프로그램을 최신 트랜드에 맞춰 강화하고 질 높은 인재 양성을 통해 사회적 책임과 노력을 지속해 나갈 것이다”고 말했다.
