경기북부보훈지청 제대군인지원센터가 2025년 제14회 제대군인주간을 맞아 의정부문화재단과 손잡고 마련한 「의정부 시간여행」 힐링프로그램이 지난 17일 성황리에 막을 내렸다.
이번 프로그램은 의정부의 역사와 문화자원을 활용한 체험관광으로 꾸며졌으며, 제대군인과 가족, 의정부재향군인회원 등 약 30명이 참여해 의미 있는 하루를 함께했다.

참가자들은 의정부예술의전당 투어를 시작으로 알찬 일정을 소화했다.
의정부의 대표 음식인 부대찌개로 점심 식사를 한 뒤, 고려시대 사찰터인 송산사지를 둘러보며 역사 해설을 들었다.
이어 조선시대 명장 정문부 장군의 묘를 참배하고, 담다헌에서 떡 케이크를 직접 만드는 체험활동으로 프로그램을 마무리했다.

참석자들은 "평소 접하기 어려운 지역의 역사와 문화를 가족과 함께 체험할 수 있어 뜻깊었다"며 "센터의 따뜻한 배려 덕분에 제대 이후의 삶에 새로운 활력을 얻었다"고 입을 모았다.
이영환 센터장은 "국가를 위해 헌신한 제대군인 여러분께 깊은 감사를 드리며, 이번 행사가 작은 위로와 재충전의 시간이 되었기를 바란다"고 말했다.
이어 "앞으로도 제대군인의 안정적인 사회 정착과 삶의 질 향상을 위해 다양한 프로그램을 지속적으로 운영하겠다"고 덧붙였다.

The "Uijeongbu Time Travel" healing program, organized by the Veterans Support Center of the Gyeonggi Northern Veterans Affairs Office in collaboration with the Uijeongbu Cultural Foundation to mark the 14th Veterans Week in 2025, concluded successfully on the 17th.
The program featured experiential tours utilizing Uijeongbu's historical and cultural resources. Approximately 30 veterans, their families, and members of the Uijeongbu Veterans Association participated in this meaningful day.
The participants began their day with a tour of the Uijeongbu Arts Center.
After a lunch of Uijeongbu's signature dish, budaejjigae (Korean army stew), they toured Songsansa Temple, a Goryeo Dynasty temple site, and listened to a historical commentary.
The program concluded with a visit to the tomb of General Jeong Mun-bu, a renowned general of the Joseon Dynasty, and a hands-on experience making rice cakes at Damdaheon.
Attendees unanimously shared, "It was meaningful to be able to experience the history and culture of a region that is rarely accessible to families," and "Thanks to the center's warm hospitality, we have gained new vitality for our lives after military service."
