세종시와 한국양자산업협회가 양자산업의 전략적 성장과 생태계 조성을 위해 손을 맞잡았다.
시는 22일 시청 세종실에서 한국양자산업협회와 업무협약을 체결하고, 양자산업 육성과 기술 상용화를 위한 공동 협력체계를 구축하기로 했다.
한국양자산업협회는 지난 2022년 설립한 단체로, 산·학·연 협력과 국제 네트워크를 기반으로 국내 양자산업 발전을 선도하고 있으며, 현재 100여 개 회원사가 참여하고 있다.
이번 협약에 따라 양 기관은 ▲양자산업 육성을 위한 정책 발굴 및 사업 기획 ▲양자기술 실증과 상용화를 위한 연구·기술 교류 ▲양자 관련 기업 유치 및 육성 지원에 나선다.
또, ▲국내외 협력 네트워크 구축과 정보 공유 ▲양자 관련 행사 공동 참여 및 성과 확산 등 다방면에서 협력을 추진한다.
시는 앞으로 자원 공유(클라우드) 기반의 양자 알고리즘 실증·사업화 플랫폼을 구축해 양자기술 기업 유치와 육성을 지원하고, 국가 및 주요 도시 간 협력체계를 마련한다.
이를 통해 양자 알고리즘 상용화 분야의 거점 도시로 도약한다는 계획이다.
최민호 시장은 “양자 관련 첨단기업 유치를 통해 세종시를 중심으로 인재·기업 육성과 기술 실증이 이뤄지는 양자산업 집적지(클러스터)를 구축하고자 한다”며 “한국양자산업협회와의 협력을 통해 세종시를 양자산업의 거점도시로 만들어 나갈 것”이라고 말했다.
