【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=한국산업은행이 운영 중인 관세 피해기업 지원 프로그램이 올해 안으로 예산 소진이 예상되면서, 추가 지원책 마련이 시급하다는 목소리가 나왔다.
국민의힘 추경호 의원(대구 달성군, 정무위원회 소속)은 24일 “산업은행의 관세 피해기업 지원 프로그램 소진이 임박했다”며 “피해기업의 경영 부담을 덜기 위한 추가 대책이 필요하다”고 강조했다.
추 의원이 산업은행에서 받은 자료에 따르면, 산업은행은 ‘핵심산업 플러스 설비투자지원 특별프로그램’과 ‘관세대응 저리지원 프로그램’을 운영하고 있다.
‘핵심산업 플러스 설비투자지원 특별프로그램’은 1조 원 규모로, 이차전지·바이오·AI·로봇·수소·미래형 운송수단 등 첨단·미래산업 분야의 설비와 연구개발(R&D) 투자를 뒷받침하고 있다. 해당 프로그램은 지난 5월 30일 출시 후 신청이 꾸준히 늘어나 10월 현재 5,100억 원이 이미 지원됐고, 4,900억 원에 대한 승인도 진행 중이다. 이로 인해 연내 전액 소진이 유력한 상황이다.
‘관세대응 저리지원 프로그램’ 역시 8월 이후 신청이 급증했다. 9월 말까지 총 118건, 1조 4,250억 원 규모가 소진됐고, 10월 접수분을 포함하면 2조 9,682억 원, 소진율이 98.9%에 달한다. 업종별로는 자동차·부품 분야가 38%를 차지했고, 철강 업종도 22.4%로 뒤를 이었다.
산업은행은 지원 수요 확대에 대응해 금리 인하 한도를 0.2%포인트에서 0.5%포인트까지 늘렸고, 중소기업 대출 한도도 30억 원에서 300억 원, 중견기업의 경우 50억 원에서 500억 원으로 상향 조정했다. 또, 중소·중견기업 외에도 계열 대기업까지 지원 대상을 확대한 것으로 나타났다.
추 의원은 “10월 대미수출이 25% 가까이 줄어들면서 관세 충격이 본격화되고 있다”며 “국책은행들은 품목별 관세 대상 업종과 대미수출 기업의 피해를 최소화할 수 있도록 추가 지원 방안을 신속하게 마련해야 한다”고 강조했다.

Representative Chu emphasized, "With exports to the US declining by nearly 25% in October, the impact of tariffs is in full swing. State-run banks must swiftly develop additional support measures to minimize the impact on industries subject to tariffs and companies exporting to the US."
