브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 국내 최초의 대규모 클래식카 전시회인 ‘2025 서울클래식카쇼(THE SEOUL CLASSIC CAR SHOW 2025)’가 24일부터 사흘간 서울 코엑스 야외 잔디광장에서 열린다. “역사 속의 자동차, 서울을 만나다”를 주제로 한 이번 행사는 한국클래식카협회(회장 정재신)와 코엑스(사장 조상현)가 공동 주최하고, 오토카코리아(대표 최주식)가 주관했다.
이번 전시에는 글로벌 대표 클래식카 15대와 모터사이클 4대 등 총 19대의 시대별 명차와 희귀 모델이 한자리에 모였다. 국내 모델로는 한국 자동차 산업의 초창기를 이끈 기아 브리사 S-1000, 새한 제미니, 현대 포니 왜건, 쌍용 칼리스타 등이 전시된다. 특히 제미니와 포니 왜건은 삼성화재 모빌리티뮤지엄이 직접 복원한 차량이다. 또한 스피젠은 메르세데스-벤츠 280SL 파고다를 기반으로 한 레스토모드 차량을 선보여 복원 기술의 또 다른 가능성을 보여줬다.
이와 함께 메르세데스-벤츠 300SL 로드스터, 롤스로이스 팬텀 VI, 캐딜락 V12 시리즈 85 타운 카브리올레, BMW 3.0 CSL 배트모빌, 알파 로메오 6C 1750SS, 쉐보레 콜벳 스팅레이, 페라리 몬디알 8 등 세계 각국을 대표하는 클래식카들이 전시된다. 할리 데이비슨 WLA, 인디언 스카우트 741, FN 285T 등 역사적 모터사이클도 함께 공개돼 자동차와 모터사이클 문화의 흐름을 한눈에 볼 수 있다.
개막식은 박윤신 전 MBN 아나운서의 사회로 진행됐다. 최주식 집행위원장의 경과 보고와 정재신·조상현 공동조직위원장의 환영사, VIP 14인의 테이프 커팅이 이어졌으며, 이후 김남진 한국클래식카협회 사무국장의 안내로 전시 투어가 진행됐다.
한국클래식카협회(KCCA)는 2023년 출범해 2024년 세계클래식카연맹(FIVA) 정식 회원국 승인을 받았으며, 올해 코엑스 및 한국자동차기자협회와 클래식카 문화 진흥을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다. 이번 전시는 그 결실을 보여주는 첫 대규모 행사다.
최주식 집행위원장은 “역사 속 명차들이 이룬 기술 발전과 당대의 미학을 통해 자동차가 문화와 예술의 유산으로 자리 잡은 과정을 확인할 수 있을 것”이라고 말했다.
정재신 한국클래식카협회장은 “이번 전시는 한국 자동차 산업의 뿌리와 세계 자동차 문화의 아름다운 유산을 함께 공유하는 자리로, 미래 세대에 새로운 영감을 주는 계기가 되길 바란다”고 전했다.
조상현 코엑스 사장은 “서울클래식카쇼는 자동차가 단순한 이동 수단을 넘어 예술과 역사, 인간의 삶을 담은 문화적 자산임을 보여주는 전시”라며 “코엑스는 앞으로도 자동차를 비롯한 다양한 산업이 문화로 확장되는 플랫폼 역할을 강화하겠다”고 밝혔다.
서울클래식카쇼는 26일까지 진행되며, 관람 시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지다. 주말에는 클래식 음악과 재즈 공연이 열려 관람객들에게 다채로운 문화 체험을 제공한다. 이번 행사는 코엑스 마이스클러스터 위원회, 삼성화재모빌리티뮤지엄, 메르세데스-벤츠 코리아, 스피젠, 인제스피디움, 선진로지스틱스 등의 후원으로 진행된다.

Korea's first large-scale classic car exhibition, the "2025 Seoul Classic Car Show," will be held for three days, starting on the 24th, at the outdoor lawn of COEX in Seoul. The Korea Classic Car Association (KCCA) launched in 2023 and received official membership approval from the International Federation of Classic Car Artists (FIVA) in 2024.
