대전 유성구 방동 윤슬거리가 내년부터 누구나 걷기 편한 친환경 산책길로 새롭게 단장된다.
더불어민주당 조승래 의원(대전 유성갑)은 26일, 방동 윤슬거리가 한국산림복지진흥원이 주관하는 2026년 녹색자금 지원사업 공모에 최종 선정돼 국비 8억2500만 원을 확보했다고 밝혔다.
이번에 선정된 ‘방동 윤슬거리 산림복지 무장애 나눔길 조성사업’은 총 2km 구간에 걸쳐 노약자와 장애인, 어린이 등 누구나 편리하게 이용할 수 있는 산책로를 조성하는 사업이다. 기존의 음악분수와 수변데크길을 하나로 연결해 지역 대표 힐링 공간으로 재탄생하는 것이 목표다.
사업은 연말까지 실시설계와 행정절차를 마친 뒤, 2026년 1월 착공에 들어갈 예정이다. 완공 후에는 주민과 방문객이 함께 즐길 수 있는 도심 속 산림복지공간으로 자리 잡을 전망이다.
조승래 의원은 이번 사업 추진 과정에서 유성구청과 산림복지진흥원 간 협력 창구 역할을 맡아 공모 준비를 적극 지원한 것으로 알려졌다.
그는 “방동 윤슬거리는 이미 시민들에게 사랑받는 명소이지만, 이번 사업으로 더 많은 분들이 불편 없이 즐길 수 있게 될 것”이라며 “앞으로도 쾌적하고 안전한 시민 생활환경 조성을 위해 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
