현대제철 포항공장, 가족 초청 행사로 재도약의 의지 다져

전국금속노동조합 포항지부 현대제철지회는 지난 25일 포항공장 임직원과 가족 150여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘포항공장 가족 초청 견학행사’를 개최했다고 27일 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 오전 10시 30분부터 오후 1시까지 진행됐으며, 참석자들은 포항종합운동장 호돌이상 앞에서 집결해 버스로 이동한 뒤 공장 홍보영상 시청, 대형 압연공장 견학, 기념품 증정, 제2식당에서의 점심식사 등의 일정을 함께했다.

현대제철 포항공장은 최근 2공장 셧다운과 중기팀 매각 등으로 어려움을 겪었지만, 노동조합과 조합원들의 단결된 힘으로 위기를 극복해왔다. 지회는 이번 행사를 단순한 견학이 아닌 “재도약의 상징이자 가족과 함께하는 새로운 출발”로 의미를 부여했다.

노동조합은 “이번 행사는 조합원들이 지켜낸 일터의 자부심을 가족과 함께 나누는 자리였다”며 “안전과 따뜻한 환대를 최우선으로 준비했다”고 밝혔다. 행사에는 가족과의 기념촬영, 노사 공동기념품 전달 등 다양한 프로그램이 마련돼 호응을 얻었다.
