[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 진주시는 경남도가 실시한 ‘2025년 추계 도로정비 평가’에서 18개 시·군 중 우수기관으로 선정됐다고 29일 밝혔다.
이번 평가는 추석과 APEC 정상회의를 앞두고 추진된 대한민국 새단장 캠페인과 연계해 도로관리 실적을 종합 평가한 결과이다.
시는 여름철 집중호우로 손상된 도로시설물 복구와 기능저하 구간 보수를 위해 행정력을 집중했다.
또 사는 주요 간선도로와 생활도로 중심으로 포장 덧씌우기, 차선도색 등에 13억원을 투입해 주행성과 안전성을 높였다.
이번 정비는 단순한 포장 보수에 그치지 않고 도로변 풀베기, 지장수목 제거, 배수로 준설 등 도로환경 전반의 청결과 안전 확보에 중점을 두었다.
