영덕군 사랑의열매 나눔봉사단은 2012년 창단 이래 14년간 지역 내 취약계층 지원, 정기기부자 발굴, 복지 사각지대 해소 등 다양한 나눔 활동을 꾸준히 이어온 점이 높이 평가돼 수상의 영예를 안았다.
특히 봉사단은 매월 일정 금액을 기부하는 ‘착한가게’·‘착한가정’·‘착한일터’ 발굴에 앞장서 왔으며, 매년 진행되는 ‘희망 나눔 캠페인’과 ‘11월의 산타’ 행사 등을 통해 지역사회에 따뜻한 온정을 전하고 있다.
차광명 단장은 “이번 수상은 지난 14년간 봉사단원 모두가 한마음으로 이웃과 정을 나누며 쌓아온 결실”이라며 “앞으로도 어려운 이웃을 먼저 살피고 더 많은 군민이 나눔에 참여할 수 있도록 지속적인 활동을 이어가겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
