전북특별자치도가 다수의 금융 기관들이 자금의 조달ㆍ거래ㆍ운용 및 그 밖의 금융거래를 할 수 있는 국내 금융거래 및 국제 금융거래 중심지 도전에 시동을 걸었다.
31일 전북자치도는 '전북 금융중심지 개발계획안'을 수립해 홈페이지에 공고했다.
서울ㆍ부산에 이어 '국내 제3의 금융중심지' 도약을 위한 이번 계획안은 이재명 정부의 핵심 공약인 '청년이 모이는 전북 금융특화도시 조성 및 제3 금융중심지 지정'을 실현하기 위한 첫걸음이다.
'금융중심지의 조성과 발전에 관한 법률 시행령'에 따라 지방자치단체가 금융중심지 지정을 신청하기 위해 반드시 마련해야 하는 필수 서류다.
전북혁신도시와 만성지구 일원 총 3.59㎢가 금융중심지로 설정됐다.
