김영기 경기도의원, 2025 혁신리더대상 의정발전부문 대상 수상

경기도의회 김영기 의원(국민의힘, 의왕1)이 지난 10월 29일 여의도 전경련회관에서 열린 ‘2025 혁신리더대상’ 시상식에서 의정발전부문 대상을 수상했다.

김영기 의원은 초선 의원으로서 짧은 기간 동안 도민이 체감할 수 있는 정책을 실현하고, 경기도와 경기교육 발전을 위해 현장에서 꾸준히 노력한 점을 높이 평가받아 이상을 수상했다.

김영기 의원은 제11대 경기도의회 초선 의원으로서 교육, 복지, 동물보호 등 다양한 분야에서 활발한 입법 활동을 이어왔다. 동물복지 정책 개선을 위해 ‘동물 자가진료 문제 해결을 위한 토론회’를 주도하고, 수의직 공무원 처우 개선과 제도적 지원 강화를 지속적으로 요구해 왔다.

또한 전반기 경기도의회 국민의힘 정책위원장으로서 ‘정책드라이브’와 ‘경기교육 정책드라이브’를 추진하며, 도내 26개 시·군과 25개 교육지원청, 11개 학교를 직접 방문해 총 142건의 민생정책과 38건의 교육정책을 발굴·제안하는 등 도민 중심의 정책 실현에 힘썼다.

김영기 의원은 교육환경 개선을 위해 ‘경기도교육청 진학정보센터 설치 및 운영 조례안’을 대표 발의했으며, ‘경기도교육청 교원의 교권과 교육활동 보호 조례 일부개정조례안’, ‘경기도 아동돌봄 지원 조례 일부개정조례안’, ‘경기도 다문화가족 지원 조례 일부개정조례안’ 등을 추진해 교육과 복지의 균형 발전을 도모했다.

Gyeonggi Provincial Council Member Kim Young-ki (People Power Party, Uiwang 1) received the Grand Prize in the Legislative Development Category at the "2025 Innovation Leader Awards" ceremony held at the Federation of Korean Industries Building in Yeouido on October 29th.

This award recognizes Kim's short tenure as a first-term member of the council, which has implemented policies that residents can feel, and his consistent efforts on the ground to advance Gyeonggi Province and its education system.

As a first-term member of the 11th Gyeonggi Provincial Council, Kim has been actively engaged in legislative activities in various fields, including education, welfare, and animal protection. To improve animal welfare policies, he led a discussion forum to address the issue of self-treatment of animals and has consistently called for improved treatment and stronger institutional support for veterinary civil servants. As the People Power Party Policy Committee Chairperson of the Gyeonggi Provincial Council in the first half of the year, he promoted the "Policy Drive" and the "Gyeonggi Education Policy Drive."
