이혜승 군포시의원, 라이더유니온과 간담회 열어

군포시의회 이혜승 의원(더불어민주당, 비례)이 지난 10월 29일 시의회에서 플랫폼 배달노동자 단체인 라이더유니온과 간담회를 갖고, 이동노동자 쉼터 설치 및 안전대책 마련 방안을 논의했다.

이날 간담회에서는 △이동노동자 쉼터 조성, △배달노동자 안전교육 및 ‘라이더 안전지킴이’ 운영, △무자격 배달대행업 관리 강화 등 현장 중심의 실질적 과제가 제기됐다. 참석자들은 “군포 지역 배달노동자들이 장시간 야외 근무를 지속하면서 교통안전과 휴식공간 부족 문제를 동시에 겪고 있다”고 지적했다.

이혜승 의원은 “군포시의 이동노동자들은 시민의 생활을 지탱하는 필수노동자이지만, 제도적 보호의 사각지대에 놓여 있다”며, “이들의 권익 보장을 위해 지난 2023년 8월 ‘군포시 이동노동자 쉼터 설치 및 운영 조례’를 발의했다”고 밝혔다.

이 의원은 이어서 “의회는 행정이 실질적인 대책을 마련하도록 지속적으로 촉구하고, 이동노동자의 휴식권과 안전권이 보장될 수 있도록 정책적 기반을 강화해 나가겠다”고 강조했다.

이혜승 의원은 이번 간담회를 계기로 조례의 실효성 점검과 함께 안전지킴이 제도 도입, 쉼터 후보지 검토 등 후속 의정활동을 이어갈 계획이다.

Gunpo City Council Member Lee Hye-seung (Democratic Party of Korea, proportional representation) held a meeting with the Rider Union, a platform delivery worker organization, on October 29th to discuss establishing shelters and safety measures for migrant workers.

The meeting presented practical, field-oriented tasks, including establishing shelters for migrant workers, providing safety training for delivery workers and operating "Rider Safety Guardians," and strengthening the management of unlicensed delivery agencies. Participants noted, "Delivery workers in Gunpo are facing both traffic safety issues and a lack of rest areas as they continue to work long hours outdoors." Councilmember Lee Hye-seung stated, "Migrant workers in Gunpo City are essential workers who support the lives of citizens, but they are left out of institutional protections." She added, "To protect their rights and interests, I proposed the 'Gunpo City Migrant Worker Shelter Establishment and Operation Ordinance' in August 2023."
