【브레이크뉴스 경북】진예솔 기자=경북교육청이 교육부와 한국교육개발원이 주최한 ‘2025년 늘봄·방과후학교 우수사례 선정’에서 초등 늘봄학교 부문 최우수 학교 2곳, 중등 방과후학교 부문 우수 학교 1곳이 뽑히는 성과를 거뒀다.
경북교육청은 공교육을 중심으로 돌봄과 교육을 확대해 학부모의 부담을 줄이고, 학생의 안전과 성장 지원에 힘써온 점이 높은 평가를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
이번 초등 늘봄학교 부문 최우수 학교에는 영양 석보초등학교와 영주 문수초등학교가 선정됐다.
두 학교는 규모는 작지만, 지역사회와의 적극적인 협력으로 학생들의 전인적 성장에 힘써온 운영 모델을 인정받았다.
석보초는 ‘체인지(체인·지) 프로그램’을 바탕으로 촘촘한 돌봄 체계를 구축하고, 학부모와 지역사회가 함께하는 교육환경 조성에 앞장섰다. 문수초는 사회정서학습(SEL)을 기반으로 지역 기관과 연계하고, 특수학생의 참여를 확대해 학생 만족도와 학교 신뢰도를 높였다는 평가다.
중등 방과후학교 우수학교로는 경산 대구가톨릭대사범대학부속무학고가 뽑혔다.
무학고는 학생이 직접 선택해 참여하는 ‘학생 선택형 방과후학교’ 프로젝트를 운영하며, 교과 수업뿐만 아니라 예체능, 융합, 특기·적성 프로그램으로 분야를 확대해 높은 참여율과 만족도를 이끌어냈다.
이번에 선정된 학교에는 교육부 장관상이 주어진다. 시상식은 12월 12일부터 14일까지 수원에서 개최되는 ‘2025 온동네 교육기부 박람회’에서 열릴 예정이다.
경북교육청은 박람회 현장에서 ‘K-EDU 늘봄 및 방과후교육 체험 부스’를 운영해 지역의 교육 혁신 사례를 홍보할 계획이다.
임종식 경북교육감은 “현장에서 헌신한 덕분에 얻은 값진 성과”라며 “앞으로도 모든 학생이 행복하게 배움의 기회를 누릴 수 있도록 지속적으로 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

Muhak High School, affiliated with Daegu Catholic University of Education, was selected as the best middle school after-school program.
Muhak High School operates a "Student-Choice After-School Program" project, where students can choose to participate. Beyond academic classes, the program has expanded to include arts and physical education, convergence, and special talent/aptitude programs, resulting in high participation rates and satisfaction.
The selected school will receive the Minister of Education Award. The awards ceremony will be held at the "2025 Ondongne Education Donation Fair" in Suwon from December 12th to 14th.
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education plans to operate a "K-EDU Neulbom and After-School Education Experience Booth" at the fair to promote local educational innovations.
Gyeongbuk Superintendent of Education Lim Jong-sik said, “This is a valuable achievement thanks to the dedication in the field,” and added, “We will continue to provide support so that all students can enjoy learning opportunities happily.”
