【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 북구청(청장 배광식)이 ‘2025 대구 북구 도시재생 청년 서포터즈 2기’가 지역 도시재생 현장 곳곳에서 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있다고 10일 밝혔다.
‘청년 서포터즈’는 북구청이 주관하고 북구도시재생지원센터가 운영하는 사업으로, 청년들이 자신만의 참신한 시각으로 도시재생 현장을 발굴하고 주민과의 소통을 넓히는 역할을 하고 있다.
2기 서포터즈는 지난 9월 1일부터 19일까지 공개 모집을 통해 선발된 12명의 청년들로 구성됐다. 이들은 9월 29일 복현어울림센터에서 열린 위촉식을 시작으로, 오는 12월 19일까지 약 3개월 동안 북구 전역의 현장을 취재하고 콘텐츠를 제작한다.
앞서 1기 서포터즈는 16명이 참여해 3개월간 79건의 홍보 콘텐츠를 제작했으며, 누적 조회수 2만 3천여 건을 기록하는 등 눈에 띄는 성과를 냈다. 특히 도시재생 사업의 의미와 현장 변화를 청년의 시각으로 소개해 지역 홍보에 큰 역할을 했다는 평가를 받고 있다.
2기 서포터즈는 각 마을의 사업 현장과 거점 시설을 직접 찾아가 주민 인터뷰, 탐방, 체험 등 다양한 취재 활동을 펼치고 있다. 또 릴스 영상과 블로그 등 온라인 플랫폼을 통해 다양한 콘텐츠를 제작하고 있으며, 1인당 4건 이상, 총 48건 이상의 콘텐츠 생산을 목표로 하고 있다.
북구청은 청년 서포터즈의 활동이 단순한 참여 확대를 넘어 주민과의 소통과 도시재생 사업에 대한 지역 사회의 공감대 형성에도 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
배광식 북구청장은 “도시재생은 지역 변화 속에 청년들의 참여가 더해질 때 더욱 큰 힘을 발휘한다”며 “서포터즈가 도시재생의 성과를 널리 알리고 주민과 청년을 잇는 소통의 가교가 되어주길 바란다”고 말했다.

The Buk-gu Office anticipates that the activities of the youth supporters will not only expand participation but also contribute to communication with residents and build a consensus on the urban regeneration project within the local community.
Mayor Baek Gwang-sik of Buk-gu said, “Urban regeneration becomes even more powerful when young people participate in regional changes,” and added, “I hope that supporters will widely publicize the achievements of urban regeneration and serve as a bridge of communication between residents and young people.”
