도널드 트럼프 미국 대통령이 10일(현지시간) 40일째를 맞아 이뤄진 민주당 성향 연방 정부 '셧 다운(일시적 업무 정지)' 종식을 위한 미 의회 합의안 도출 관련해 "매우 좋으며 아주 빠르게 나라를 열게 될 것"이라고 밝혔다.
미 'AP 통신'에 따르면 트럼프 대통령은 이날 워싱톤 DC 백악관에서 열린 주인도미국대사 취임 선서식에서 '상원서 진행 중인 셧 다운 합의안을 수용하는가'란 취재진 질의에 "그렇다"며 이같이 전했다.
그러면서 "감옥서 풀려나거나 갱단·마약상 같은 사람들에 1조 5천억불을 퍼주지 않을 것"이라며 "그들은 건강보험 혜택을 받길 원하나 보건 의료 시스템을 해치는 일"이라며 건강보험 '오바마 케어(ACA)'를 직 겨냥했다.
