【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 남구 지역에서 따뜻한 손길을 나누는 행사가 잇따르고 있다. 바르게살기운동 대구남구협의회(회장 이흥우)는 지난 3일부터 13일까지 총 4차례에 걸쳐 ‘사랑의 김장 나누기’ 봉사활동을 진행했다.
이 행사는 겨울을 앞두고 지역사회 내 나눔 문화를 확산하고, 저소득층이 더욱 따뜻한 겨울을 보낼 수 있도록 돕기 위해 마련됐다.
협의회 회원들은 직접 담근 김장김치 800박스를 남구청에 전달했다. 전달된 김치는 남구 내 각 동 행정복지센터를 통해 저소득 취약계층에 배부됐다. 특히, 올해는 한파가 오기 전에 행사가 앞당겨 열려, 취약계층의 겨울나기에 더 큰 보탬이 된 것으로 전해졌다.
이흥우 회장은 “회원들의 정성과 사랑이 담긴 김치가 어려운 이웃들에게 따뜻한 위로가 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 이웃과 함께하는 나눔 문화를 꾸준히 이어가겠다”고 밝혔다.

지난 4일에는 남구청이 1인 취약계층 240가구에 경량 방한조끼를 전달했다. 이번 지원은 남구 위기가구전문사례지원단이 주도했으며, 퇴직 공무원으로 구성된 전문관들이 직접 각 가정을 방문해 난방 상태와 생활 여건 등도 꼼꼼히 점검했다.
지원단은 단순히 물품만 전달하는 데 그치지 않고, 정서적 교류와 심리적 지지를 함께 제공하며 고립된 1인 가구와 고령층의 안부를 확인했다. 방한조끼를 지원받은 한 어르신은 “날씨보다 마음이 더 추웠는데, 직접 찾아와 이야기를 나눠줘 큰 힘이 됐다”며 고마움을 전했다.
조재구 구청장은 “앞으로도 계절별 취약 시기에 맞춘 맞춤형 지원과 정기적 안부 확인을 통해, 모두가 안전하고 따뜻한 지역 사회를 만들기 위해 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.

On the 4th, Nam-gu District Office delivered lightweight winter vests to 240 single-person households in vulnerable situations. This support was led by the Nam-gu Crisis Household Support Team, and specialists comprised of retired public officials personally visited each home to carefully inspect heating and living conditions.
The support team went beyond simply delivering supplies. They also provided emotional support and psychological support, checking on the well-being of isolated single-person households and the elderly. One senior who received a winter vest expressed his gratitude, saying, "I felt colder than the weather, but the visit and conversation with you was a great help."
Mayor Cho Jae-gu stated, "We will continue to strive to create a safe and warm community for all through tailored support tailored to seasonal vulnerability periods and regular check-ins."
