브레이크뉴스 문홍철 기자= 기아는 전국 복지기관과 사회적기업에 PV5를 지원하는 사회공헌사업 ‘Move & Connect’를 지난 19일아동양육시설인 꿈나무마을 파란꿈터(서울 은평구 소재)에서 진행했다고 20일 밝혔다.
‘Move & Connect’는 기아 최초의 전용 PBV인 PV5를 통해 지역사회 최전선에서 취약계층을 돌보고 지속 가능한 변화를 이끌어내는 활동을 지원하고자 기획됐다.
고객의 다양한 요구에 대응할 수 있도록 개발된 PV5는 △편안한 승객 탑승을 위한 패신저 △넓은 화물 적재 공간을 갖춘 카고 △교통약자의 이동 편의성에 집중한 WAV(Wheelchair Accessible Vehicle, 휠체어용 차량) 등 3가지 모델로 구성돼 각 기관의 서비스 특성에 최적화된 맞춤 지원이 가능하다.
‘Move & Connect’ 사업 공모 시 기관별로 희망하는 PV5 모델을 직접 선택할 수 있도록 했다. 장애인종합복지관에서는 장애인 이동 서비스 확대를 위한 WAV 모델을, 종합사회복지관에서는 도시락 배달 등 돌봄 서비스 제공을 위한 카고 모델을 주로 신청하는 등 실질적인 활용도를 높였다.
이번 아동양육시설에 전달한 모델은 PV5 패신저로, 아동 건강관리를 위한 병원 동행 서비스에 활용될 예정이다. PV5 패신저는 남녀노소가 편하게 승하차 할 수 있도록 399mm의 낮은 2열 스텝고(지면에서 2열 도어 스텝까지의 높이)를 구현해, 전 연령의 어린이들이 편안하고 안전하게 승하차할 수 있도록 만들어졌다.

기아는 이번 PV5 전달을 시작으로, 총 10개 복지기관에 PV5를 기부하고 사회적 기업 8곳에 PV5 차량 렌트 및 운영비를 지원할 예정이다.
