국민의힘 김승수 의원(대구 북구을)은 19일, 이번 개정안에 암표 거래 근절을 위한 ‘과징금 최대 50배’ 조항이 포함됐다고 밝혔다.

암표 거래를 막기 위해 기존 공연법이 개정됐지만, 매크로 등 자동화 기술을 이용한 조직적 암표상이 문제로 떠올랐다. 이에 실효성 부족이라는 비판이 이어졌고, 해외에서도 비슷한 사례가 등장했다. 실제로 대만에서는 지난해 블랙핑크 공연 티켓이 1,700만 원, 지드래곤 콘서트 티켓이 1,800만 원에 거래되는 등 여론이 악화되자, 암표 판매에 최대 50배의 벌금을 부과하는 법안을 통과시킨 바 있다. 이 법은 시행 이후 효과가 확인됐다는 평가를 받고 있다.

한편 문화예술법안심사소위원회는 20일, 공연계 암표 근절을 위한 공연법 개정안도 심사할 예정이다.
김승수 의원은 “실효성 있는 법 집행을 위해 특단의 조치가 필요했다고 본다”며 “해외 사례에서도 이미 강력한 제재가 효과를 거두고 있는 만큼, 기업형 암표상과 암표 매매가 뿌리 뽑히길 기대한다”고 말했다. 또 “문화체육관광위원회 위원으로서 암표 문제 해결에 앞장서겠다”고 강조했다.
