최근 임대주택에 인공지능 음성인식 비상벨을 도입하는 ‘스마트 안심원룸’ 시범사업을 마쳤다. 주거지 침입·스토킹 등 범죄에 노출되기 쉬운 청년 세대의 현실에서, 직접 도움을 요청하지 않아도 비명을 인식해 즉시 112에 연결되는 첨단 치안 솔루션이 처음으로 확대 적용됐다.
협력으로 만든 첫 전국 사례
이 사업은 자치경찰제하 공공안전 강화를 위한 대표적 민관협력 실험으로, AI기술 활용 사례 중 전국 최초라는 평가다. 부산경찰청의 제안에서 시작해 도시공사가 입주지원을 맡아 전국 청년 임대주택 중 처음으로 도입됐다. 관계기관은 이번 결과를 바탕으로 청년 정주환경 개선과 범죄 예방 효과를 검증해 추가 확대를 예고했다.
‘비명인식 비상벨’ 현장서 힘 발휘
AI 비상벨은 위기 시 직접 버튼을 누를 필요 없이, 위험음을 감지해 자동으로 경찰 출동을 요청한다. 경찰 출동 멘트가 음성으로 송출되고, 위치 기반 112 신고로 곧바로 대응체계가 가동된다. 실제 여성 1인 가구 등 취약층에서의 현장 만족도도 높다는 평가다.
엄성규 부산경찰청장은 “청년 1인 가구가 위급 상황에서 구조 요청에 어려움을 겪는 경우가 많다”며 “AI 기반 안전망과 112 대응체계 결합으로 청년은 물론 부산 시민 모두가 안심할 수 있는 정주 환경 조성에 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

How the AI Scream Recognition Bell Works
The AI emergency bell detects distress calls automatically without manual activation. When danger is sensed, it triggers a voice dispatch announcement and immediately dials 112, enabling rapid police intervention. The system addresses vulnerabilities in emergency response, especially for women and young singles who may struggle to manually activate an alarm in crisis situations.
Commissioner General Eom Seong-gyu of the Busan Metropolitan Police Agency emphasized, "Many young single households face challenges in requesting help during emergencies." He pledged that combining AI-driven safety technology with the 112 emergency response system would expand crime prevention and establish a safer living environment for all Busan citizens.
