민주평화통일자문회의 안양시협의회(회장 박경애)가 지난 11월 24일 오후 5시 안양시청 대강당에서 제22기 출범식 및 2025년 3차 정기회의를 열고 향후 활동의 힘찬 출발을 알렸다. 이날 행사에는 최대호 안양시장과 자문위원 등 200여 명이 참석했다.
제22기 민주평통은 11월 1일 임기를 시작했으며 2027년 10월 31일까지 2년 동안 평화·공존·번영의 한반도 구현을 목표로 평화통일 의견수렴, 정책건의, 통일 기반 조성 등 다양한 활동을 펼친다.
신임 박경애 회장은 난치병 아동돕기 운동본부 후원회장, 연성대 총동문회 회장, 카네기 총동문회 회장, 안양여성의전화 자문위원, 안양시민신문 이사, 안양시 옴브즈만 위원, 아너소사이어티 회원 등을 역임하며 지역사회에서 활발히 활동해 왔다. 현재는 주식회사 사재감 여자수산 대표로 재직 중이다.

박경애 회장은 개회사에서 “지역 시민과 중앙정부를 연결하는 소통의 가교 역할을 충실히 수행하며, 생활 속에서 체감할 수 있는 평화통일 활동을 만들어 가겠다”고 밝혔다.
최대호 안양시장은 축사를 통해 “민주평통의 통일 활동을 적극 지원하겠다”며 “박경애 회장의 취임을 진심으로 축하드린다”고 격려했다.
이날 행사에서 자문위원들은 위촉장 전달, 자문위원 선서, 활동 방향 공유 등을 통해 대통령 직속 자문기구로서 책임감 있는 활동을 다짐했다.
한편 제22기 안양시협의회는 “시민이 참여하고, 문화와 체험 속에서 만나는 민주평통”을 목표로 교육·홍보 강화, 나눔과 상생 실천 등 다양한 사업을 추진할 예정이다.

특히 이번 출범식에서는 화환 대신 쌀을 기부하는 따뜻한 참여가 이어졌다. 박경애 회장의 가족 역시 이 뜻에 동참해, 친정아버지가 고향 평안남도를 떠올리며 통일 염원을 담아 쌀 100포를 기부해 참석자들에게 큰 감동을 주었다. 이날 모인 총 250포의 쌀은 제22기 안양시협의회의 나눔 활동의 첫걸음을 밝히는 상징적 출발이 됐다.
박경애 회장은 “작은 참여 하나가 안양의 따뜻함이 되고, 나아가 통일을 향한 큰 힘이 된다”며 지속적인 시민 참여와 실천을 강조했다.

Approximately 200 people, including Anyang Mayor Choi Dae-ho and advisory committee members, attended the event.
The 22nd National Unification Advisory Council began its term on November 1st and will conduct various activities until October 31, 2027, with the goal of realizing peace, coexistence, and prosperity on the Korean Peninsula. Notably, the inauguration ceremony featured warm donations of rice instead of wreaths. Chairwoman Park Kyung-ae's family also joined in the cause, deeply touching the attendees as her father donated 100 bags of rice, reminiscent of his hometown in South Pyongan Province and expressing his wish for unification. The 250 bags of rice collected that day symbolized the first step in the 22nd Anyang City Council's sharing activities.
