【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구의 대표 소식지 ‘팔공메아리’가 ‘2025 대한민국 커뮤니케이션 대상’에서 인쇄사보 공공부문 브랜드마케팅협회장상을 수상했다.
이는 지난해 대한민국소통어워즈에 이어 두 번째 수상으로, ‘커뮤니케이션 대상’은 3년 연속 수상이라는 의미를 더했다.
‘대한민국 커뮤니케이션 대상’은 한국사보협회가 주관하고 문화체육관광부, 고용노동부, 국회 등이 후원하는 국내 최고 권위의 커뮤니케이션 분야 시상식이다. 협회와 단체, 국가기관이 발행하는 인쇄 및 전자사보를 중심으로 비즈니스 저널리즘 능력과 소통 역량을 평가한다.
팔공메아리는 올해 지역 최초로 어린이 신문을 창간하고, 어린이 기자단을 출범하는 등 색다른 시도로 높은 평가를 받았다. 또 ‘동구 추억 한 조각’ 코너와 명예기자 운영 등 지역성과 주민 소통 기반을 강화한 점도 좋은 점수를 받았다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “팔공메아리는 2023년 모바일 소식지, 2024년 어르신 전용 큰 책 발행에 이어 올해는 어린이 신문까지 내놓으며 해마다 새로운 변화를 시도하고 있다”며 “앞으로도 주민들에게 사랑받는 구정 소식지가 되도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daegu Dong-gu's flagship newsletter, "Palgong Meari," won the Public Sector Brand Marketing Association President's Award at the "2025 Korea Communication Awards."
This marks the second time the publication has won the award, following last year's Korea Communication Awards, and marks the third consecutive year it has won the "Communication Awards."
The "Korea Communication Awards" is Korea's most prestigious communications awards ceremony, hosted by the Korea Corporate Newspaper Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and the National Assembly. It evaluates business journalism and communication skills, focusing on print and electronic newsletters published by associations, organizations, and government agencies.
Palgong Meari received high praise for its innovative initiatives, including launching the region's first children's newspaper and launching a children's reporter corps. Furthermore, it received positive feedback for strengthening its local identity and communication with residents, including initiatives like the "A Piece of Dong-gu Memories" section and the establishment of honorary reporters.
Dong-gu District Mayor Yoon Seok-jun said, “Palgong Meari is trying new things every year, including publishing a mobile newsletter in 2023, a large book for seniors in 2024, and a children’s newspaper this year,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to become a district newsletter loved by residents.”
