[브레이크뉴스=이성용 기자] 경남도가 앞으로 3년간 도 자금을 관리할 제1금고에 농협은행, 제2금고에 경남은행을 각각 선정했다고 6일 밝혔다.
이번 금고 지정은 현 금고 약정기간이 올해 말 만료됨에 따른 것으로, 도는 지난 9월 도 금고 지정신청 공고를 시작으로 10월 금융기관 제안서 접수, 11월 금고지정심의위원회를 개최하는 등 차기 금고 선정 절차를 진행했다.
지난달 12일 개최된 금고지정심의위원회에서는 금융기관이 제출한 제안서를 바탕으로 △재무구조 안정성, △금리 조건, △도민 편의성, △금고업무 수행 역량, △지역사회 기여도 등 항목을 종합적으로 심의·평가해 1순위로 농협은행, 2순위로 경남은행을 최종 결정했다.
선정된 두 금융기관은 12월 중 경남도와 금고약정을 체결한 뒤, 2026년 1월 1일부터 2028년 12월 31일까지 3년간 도 금고 업무를 수행한다.
제1금고인 농협은행은 일반회계와 기금 8개(농어촌진흥·투자유치진흥·재해구호·남북교류협력·중소기업투자·고향사랑·자활·도민연금)를, 제2금고인 경남은행은 특별회계와 기금 6개(지역개발·통합재정안정화·식품진흥·재난관리·사회적경제·양성평등)를 담당하게 된다.
경남도 관계자는 “도민 편의성과 재정운영의 안정성을 최우선으로 고려해 금고를 선정했다”며 “앞으로 도정발전과 지역사회에 기여 확대를 기대한다”고 말했다.
