【브레이크뉴스 대구】진예솔 기자=대구 동구청이 대구시가 실시한 ‘2025년 도시환경개선 추진 실적 평가’에서 우수기관에 이름을 올렸다.
동구청은 2023년 우수기관, 2024년 최우수기관에 이어 3년 연속 도시환경·공공디자인 분야에서 성과를 이어가며 선도 지자체로 자리매김했다.
이번 평가는 대구시가 9개 구·군을 대상으로 도시환경개선 업무 체계, 옥외광고물 정비 실적, 도시환경개선사업 추진도, 야간경관 개선 실적 등 5개 항목을 중점적으로 살펴 이뤄졌다.
동구청은 동촌유원지 공공디자인 개선, 효목동 647 일원 주거환경 개선, 아양로24길 벽면 디자인 정비 등 주요 사업에서 실효성을 높였다는 평가를 받았다. 또한 공공디자인 공모전 개최, 대학과의 공동 연구, 직원 대상 디자인 역량 강화 교육 등으로 지역 디자인 기반 확장에 힘써왔다.
이와 함께 불법 광고물 정비, 현장 단속 강화 등 생활환경 개선을 위한 꾸준한 노력도 높은 평가로 이어졌다.
윤석준 동구청장은 “3년 연속 우수기관 선정은 동구가 공공디자인 분야에서 경쟁력을 인정받았다는 뜻”이라며, “앞으로도 도시환경개선 사업을 꾸준히 추진해 품격 있는 동구를 만들겠다”고 말했다.
