주형숙 의원이 발의한 ‘대구광역시 동구 어린이·사회복지급식관리지원센터 운영 조례’가 11일 열린 제348회 정례회 제3차 본회의에서 최종 통과된 것이다. 해당 조례는 공포 후 곧바로 시행에 들어간다.
이번 조례는 어린이집, 유치원, 노인·장애인 시설 등 단체급식소의 위생과 영양 관리를 체계적으로 지원하기 위한 기반을 담고 있다.
주요 내용으로는 센터 설치 및 운영의 근거, 지원 대상, 사무의 위탁, 운영을 위한 재정 지원 등 급식 안전 관리 체계 구축 방안이 포함됐다.
주형숙 의원은 “그동안 어린이와 취약계층이 이용하는 급식시설에 대한 제도적 지원이 충분치 않았다”며 “이번 조례를 통해 보다 안전하고 균형 잡힌 급식 제공을 위한 행정적 기반이 마련됐다”고 강조했다.
또한 주 의원은 “센터에 전문 인력을 배치하고, 급식소 현장 점검과 위생·영양 교육 등 체계적인 지원이 이뤄질 경우 관내 급식 수준이 한층 높아질 것”이라며 “아이들과 어르신, 장애인들이 더욱 건강하고 안전하게 생활할 수 있도록 정책적 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.
