경기도의회, 필리핀 민다나오 개발청 대표단 첫 방문…교류 협력 논의

경기도의회는 지난 12월 10일 의회 예담채에서 정윤경 부의장(더불어민주당·군포1)이 필리핀 민다나오 개발청(MinDA) 대표단을 맞이해 교류 협력 방안을 논의했다. MinDA의 경기도의회 방문은 이번이 처음이다.

대표단의 경기도의회 방문은 8일부터 12일까지 이어지는 공식 방한 일정의 하나로 마련됐으며, 국회 일정 이후 의회를 찾았다. 이날 접견은 양 기관이 협력 의제를 공식 논의한 첫 사례로, 지속 가능한 지방외교 기반 마련의 신호탄이 될 것으로 기대된다.

경기도의회에서는 정윤경 부의장 외에 최종현 더불어민주당 대표의원(수원7), 임상오 안전행정위원장(국민의힘·동두천2), 이제영 미래과학협력위원장(국민의힘·성남8)이 참석했다. 민다나오 개발청에서는 레오 마그노 청장을 비롯해 4개 주 주지사와 국회의원 등 총 11명이 함께했다.

정윤경 부의장은 “경기도의회를 찾아주신 점에 감사드린다”며 “청년 정책, 환경, 경제·산업 등 다양한 분야에서 실질적 협력이 이어지길 바란다”고 말했다.

레오 마그노 청장은 “경기도의회의 환대에 감사드린다”며 “민다나오는 농업·에너지·광물 산업 기반이 탄탄해 경기도와의 협력 가능성이 크다”고 강조했다.

On December 10th, the Gyeonggi Provincial Council welcomed a delegation from the Philippine Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) at the council's pre-conference meeting. This marked MinDA's first visit to the Gyeonggi Provincial Council.
