【브레이크뉴스 경주】박희경 기자=동국대학교 WISE캠퍼스(총장 류완하)는 지난 12월 12일 중국 광저우에서 광동외어외무대학교와 글로벌 개방형 교육과정 설계 및 혁신 콘텐츠 교류를 위한 양해각서(MOU)를 체결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 APEC 글로벌 인재 유치 체계 고도화를 목표로 추진됐으며, 양교는 앞으로 △DGFA(1+3) 글로벌 혁신 프로그램 운영 △공동 교과목 및 교육 프로그램 개발 △학점 연계 및 상호 승인 △공동 연구와 학술 간행물 발행 △학생 및 교직원 교류 확대 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 강화해 나가기로 했다.
특히 이번 협약을 계기로 동국대 WISE캠퍼스는 경상북도의 핵심 과제인 외국인 유학생 3만 명 유치 정책과 연계해 POST-APEC 사업을 본격화하고, 대학의 시그니처 글로벌 개방형 혁신 플랫폼인 DGFA(Dongguk Global Freshmen Academy) 프로그램을 APEC 전 회원국으로 확대해 나갈 계획이다.
류완하 총장은 “지난 20여 년간 축적한 글로벌 고등교육 노하우를 바탕으로 미래 교육 패러다임을 반영한 혁신 교육 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 도입해 하이테크 학습 혁명을 선도하고 있다”며 “APEC 국가의 우수한 글로컬 인재를 양성해 지역사회와 대학이 상생하는 교육 생태계를 구축해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
한편 류완하 총장을 비롯한 동국대 WISE캠퍼스 방문단은 캠퍼스 국제화 추진과 POST-APEC 연대 강화를 위해 지난 12월 10일부터 13일까지 내년 APEC 의장국인 중국을 방문했다.

Dongguk University WISE Campus Signs MOU with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and International Studies for Global Open Education Cooperation
Dongguk University WISE Campus (President Ryu Wan-ha) announced on December 12th that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and International Studies in Guangzhou, China, to collaborate on global open curriculum design and innovative content exchange.
This agreement aims to enhance the APEC global talent recruitment system. The two universities agreed to strengthen cooperation in various areas, including: operating the DGFA (1+3) Global Innovation Program; developing joint courses and educational programs; linking credits and mutual recognition; joint research and publications; and expanding student and faculty exchanges.
In particular, with this agreement as a momentum, Dongguk University's WISE Campus plans to fully launch its post-APEC initiative in line with Gyeongsangbuk-do Province's key policy of attracting 30,000 international students. It also plans to expand the university's signature global open innovation platform, the Dongguk Global Freshmen Academy (DGFA), to all APEC member countries.
President Ryu Wan-ha stated, "Based on the global higher education expertise accumulated over the past 20 years, we are leading the high-tech learning revolution by continuously introducing innovative educational content that reflects the future education paradigm. We will cultivate outstanding global talent from APEC countries and build an educational ecosystem where local communities and universities thrive together."
Meanwhile, a delegation from Dongguk University's WISE Campus, including President Ryu, visited China, the APEC chair next year, from December 10th to 13th to promote campus internationalization and strengthen post-APEC solidarity.
