다음달 2일 개관을 앞두고 있는 세종평생교육원이 지역 평생학습 플랫폼 역할을 할 수 있도록 운영하기로 했다.
또 다양한 교육 경험을 시민들과 나누고 학교와 마을, 학생과 시민이 함께 성장하는 학습 공동체로 구현하기로 했다.
세종시교육청은 16일 평생교육원 개원 관련 브리핑을 갖고 이 같은 내용을 담은 운영계획을 발표했다.
구연희 세종시 교육감 권한대행(부교육감)이 발표한 것을 보면 지하1층 지상3층 연면적 13,645㎡ 규모에 1층은 400석시청각실과 청소년·어린이 공간을 갖추고 문화와 소통 공간으로 운영하기로 했다.
2층에 일반자료실, 창작실 등을 설치해 탐구·창작 공간으로 활용된다. 교육과 실습 공간으로 3층에 강의실과 요리실 등을 갖추기로 했다.
이 같은 공간을 이용해 나선·확장형 학습 구조와 ICT정보통신기술을 활용한 다양한 프로그램을 운영해 학습 접근성과 효율성도 함께 높여 나가기로 했다.
개인→사회→미래로 이어지는 학습 구조를 짜임새 있게 설계하고,학습 방식 역시 옴니버스, On+Off블랜디드, 하이브리드 등도 병행된다,
세종평생교육원을 시민의 배움이 지역 교육자원이 되고 다시 시민에게 나눠지는 배움-성장-나눔의 순환형 학습 생태계를 조성한다는 계획이다.
구연희 권한대행은 "평생교육원이 모두의 학교 기적의 배움터가 되고자 한다"며 "밖으로는 관계기관 단체들과 공동협의체를 구성 운영해 지역평생 학습 허브이자 플랫폼으로 역활을 충실히 수행하겠다고 말했다.
총 사업비 489억원이 투입된 세종평생교육원은 세종대왕의 본명을 따 '이도마루(YIDO-MARU)'라고 지었다.
