【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=음성군은 지난 15일 행정안전부 민원동 대회의실에서 열린 ‘2025년 지역-기업 협업 우수사례 공모’ 발표평가에서 대상을 수상했다고 밝혔다.
이번 수상으로 군은 특별교부세 2억5천만원을 확보했다.
이번 행사에는 행정안전부 차관, 지방정부·기업 협업 관계자, 심사위원단 등 내외부 전문가가 참석했으며, 본심사에 오른 6건의 사례 중 음성군의 ‘흥미진진 산업관광 팩토리투어(Pack∞tory)’가 최고 평점을 받았다.
산업단지가 집적된 지역 특성을 활용해 관광 인프라 부족 문제를 해결하기 위해 산업과 관광을 결합한 참여형 산업관광 모델을 개발한 점이 높게 평가됐다.
군은 우수한 교통 접근성과 3천여 개 기업이 가동 중인 산업 환경을 기반으로 2017년 문체부 공모사업에 선정, 2018년 한독 공장 내 팩토리투어센터를 개관하며 산업관광을 본격화했다.
또 음성군(문화관광과)을 중심으로 18개 기업이 참여하는 산업관광협의회와 전문 여행사 잼토리가 협력하는 민·관·기업 삼자 거버넌스를 구축해 보다 체계적인 운영 기반을 마련했다.
2017년 8개 기업으로 시작된 팩토리투어는 2025년 현재 18개 기업으로 확대됐으며, 프로그램도 단순 공장 견학을 넘어 외국인 근로자 대상 프로그램, 반려동물 동반 투어, 코레일 연계 상품 등으로 다양해졌다.
이에 따라 관광콘텐츠는 3개에서 13개로 확대됐고, 2024년 기준 팩토리투어센터 방문객 2만3천명이 참여하며 지역 방문 수요를 크게 끌어올렸다.
산업과 관광이 결합된 새로운 융합 모델이 지역에 안착하면서, 기업과 지역사회 전반에 긍정적인 파급 효과가 나타나고 있다.
기업들은 브랜드 인지도 제고와 함께 제품 홍보 및 판매 기회 확대라는 실질적 성과를 거두고 있으며, 지역은 관광객 유입 증가와 체류·소비 확대를 통해 지역경제 활성화 효과를 보고 있다.
주민들 역시 ‘쎄일페스타’ 등 다양한 참여 프로그램을 통해 산업관광에 대한 이해와 공감을 넓혀가며, 산업관광의 지역 확산 기반을 다지고 있다.
박순애 기업지원과장은 “이번 수상은 산업과 관광을 결합한 팩토리투어의 성과를 인정받은 것으로, 기업 브랜드 인지도 향상과 지역경제 활성화, 음성 브랜드가치 제고에도 큰 의미가 있다”며 “앞으로도 산업관광을 더욱 발전시켜 장기적인 지역 성장 동력으로 이어지도록 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편 음성군은 중소기업 육성자금 이차보전 지원, 중소기업 역량강화 지원사업, 수출보험료 지원사업 등 총 60억 원 규모의 기업지원 사업을 통해 관내 중소기업의 경영 안정과 경쟁력 강화를 도모하고 있다.
