이랜드월드가 천안 물류센터 화재로 불편을 겪은 인근 주민들을 위해 건강 회복 지원을 이어가고 있다. 일회성 위로에 그치지 않고, 실제 도움이 되는 지원을 단계적으로 이어가는 방식이다.
이랜드월드는 이달 5일부터 주말까지 천안 물류센터 인근 주민을 대상으로 ‘주민 건강 지원 물품’ 4,500세트 전달을 완료했다고 밝혔다. 이번 지원은 화재 이후 주민들의 일상 회복과 건강 관리를 돕기 위한 후속 조치다.
지원은 이랜드월드와 이랜드재단, 이랜드복지재단이 함께 기획했고, 천안시복지재단과 협력해 진행됐다. 전달 과정에서는 주민 불편을 최소화하기 위해 지역 사정에 맞춰 일정과 방식을 유연하게 조정했다.
물품은 화재 현장과 가까운 주거단지 입주민에게 4,100세트, 풍세면 내 건강 취약계층에게 400세트가 각각 전달됐다.
지원 물품은 화재 이후 우려가 큰 호흡기와 면역 건강에 초점을 맞춰 구성됐다. 종합비타민과 고함량 비타민C, 레몬 생강청, 배도라지청 등 일상에서 바로 섭취할 수 있는 제품들로 꾸렸으며, 국내 주요 제조사 제품을 중심으로 품질을 검증했다. 물품과 함께 전달된 메시지 카드에는 주민들의 불편에 대한 사과와 위로의 뜻도 담겼다.
이랜드월드의 지원은 이번 물품 전달에 앞서 이미 시작됐다. 지난 11월 22일과 29일에는 인근 주민을 대상으로, 12월 3일에는 풍세산업단지 근로자를 대상으로 무료 출장 건강검진을 진행했다. 현장에서는 전문 의료진이 폐 X-ray, 폐기능 검사, 혈액검사 등을 실시하고, 결과에 대한 즉각적인 상담도 제공했다.
화재 이후 불안감을 느낄 수 있는 주민과 근로자들이 병원을 따로 찾지 않아도 기본적인 건강 상태를 점검할 수 있도록 한 조치다.
이랜드월드 측은 단기적 지원보다, 지역 상황에 맞춘 실질적 도움을 이어가는 데 의미를 두고 있다고 설명했다.
이랜드월드 관계자는 “주민들의 조속한 안정과 건강 회복이 가장 중요하다고 판단했다”며 “앞으로도 지자체와 협력해 일상 회복에 실제 도움이 되는 지원을 계속해 나가겠다”고 말했다.
E-Land World Completes Health Support for Residents Near Cheonan Logistics Center
E-Land World has completed the distribution of health support packages to residents affected by the fire at its Cheonan logistics center, continuing its efforts to support community recovery beyond initial emergency measures.
The company announced that it delivered 4,500 health support packages to nearby residents over the weekend starting December 5. The initiative was designed to help residents recover their health and return to daily life after the fire.
The program was jointly planned by E-Land World, the E-Land Foundation, and the E-Land Welfare Foundation, in cooperation with the Cheonan Welfare Foundation. Distribution schedules and methods were adjusted to reflect local conditions and minimize inconvenience to residents.
A total of 4,100 packages were delivered to residents in housing complexes near the fire site, while 400 packages were provided to health-vulnerable residents in Pungse-myeon.
Each package focused on respiratory and immune health, areas of particular concern after the fire. Items included multivitamins, high-dose vitamin C, lemon ginger syrup, and pear bellflower root syrup. All products were sourced from reputable domestic manufacturers. A message card expressing sympathy and support for residents was also included.
Prior to the distribution, E-Land World had conducted free on-site medical checkups for local residents on November 22 and 29, and for workers at the Pungse Industrial Complex on December 3. Medical professionals provided lung X-rays, pulmonary function tests, blood tests, and on-the-spot consultations.
An E-Land World official said, “The health and stability of local residents are our top priorities. We will continue working closely with local governments to provide practical support that helps the community return to normal.”
