고양소방서는 북한산에서 구조한 외국인 등산객으로부터 감사의 뜻이 담긴 손편지와 다과 선물을 전달받았다고 16일 밝혔다.

지난 11월 7일 북한산을 찾은 싱가포르 국적의 등산객 4명은 해가 진 뒤 랜턴 등 조명 장비 없이 하산을 시도하다가 위험한 상황에 놓였다.
이를 발견한 고양소방서 구조대는 즉시 현장에 접근해 등산객들과 동행하며 안전하게 하산할 수 있도록 조치했다.
이후 구조된 등산객들은 국제 배송을 통해 “위험한 순간에 도움을 주셔서 깊이 감사드린다”는 내용의 손편지와 함께 다과류를 보내 감사의 마음을 전했으며 편지에는 “한국에서 받은 배려를 평생 잊지 않겠다”는 진심 어린 메시지가 담겨 감동을 더했다.
박기완 고양소방서장은 “국경을 넘어 전달된 따뜻한 마음에 깊은 감동을 받았다”며 “앞으로도 시민과 방문객 모두의 안전을 지키기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
