【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군은 새마을문고 증평군지부가 증평삼보사회복지관에 취약계층 아동의 학습지원에 사용해달라며 장학금 50만원을 기탁했다고 17일 밝혔다.
이번 장학금은 지난 10월 1일 군청 민원소통과 앞에서 열린 ‘사랑의 책값 나눔 행사’에서 마련된 수익금으로, 취약계층 아동 5명에게 장학금으로 전달될 예정이다.
오종식 관장은 “연말이면 잊지 않고 아동 학습지원을 위해 장학금을 지원해 주시는 새마을문고 강미영 회장님을 비롯해 회원들께 깊이 감사드린다”고 말했다.
강미영 회장은 “회원들이 한마음으로 마련한 기금이 지역 아이들의 배움에 보탬이 되길 바란다”며 “앞으로도 아이들이 꿈을 키워갈 수 있도록 지속적인 나눔과 응원을 이어가겠다”고 전했다.
