【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 증평군이 전년도에 이어 행정안전부가 주관하는 국민안전교육 실태점검 ‘우수등급’으로 6년 연속 우수기관에 선정되는 쾌거를 이뤘다.
군은 이에 따라 지난 17일 충북도의회에서 열린 ‘2025년 안전문화운동협의회(안문협) 총회 및 성과보고회’에서 도지사 표창을 수상했다.
국민안전교육 실태점검은 전년도 안전교육 추진 실적과 관심도, 우수사례 등을 중심으로 5개 분야 21개 지표에 대해 서면평가와 현장평가를 병행해 실시된다.
군은 체계적인 교육 운영과 현장 중심의 실천 활동에서 높은 평가를 받은 것으로 알려졌다.
특히 군은 전 실과를 대상으로 안전교육을 실시하고, 행정 전반에 안전 인식을 확산시키는 데 힘써왔다.
매달 군민이 함께 참여하는 안전 캠페인을 지속적으로 전개하며, 일상 속 안전문화 정착에도 공을 들이고 있다.
올해에는 한 걸음 더 나아가 초등학교 앞 유괴 예방 캠페인을 실시하는 등 어린이 보호를 위한 현장형 안전 활동도 강화했다.
군 관계자는 “앞으로도 안전 취약계층을 대상으로 한 생애주기별 안전교육 프로그램을 확대하고, 이론 중심이 아닌 체험형 안전교육을 강화해 군민의 재난 대응 역량을 높이겠다”며 “안전이 군정의 최우선 가치가 되도록 지속적으로 노력하겠다”고 말했다.
한편, 군은 이날 함께 진행된 ‘2025년 안전문화 실천 우수사례 공모전’ 시상식에서도 우수상을 수상하며, 안전문화 확산 분야에서도 성과를 이어갔다.
