파주시가 국토교통부 주관 2025년 하반기 도시재생사업 공모에서 문산읍 문산리 일원을 '지역 특화 재생' 부문 대상지로 최종 선정되는 성과를 거뒀다.
이번 선정으로 파주시는 향후 4년간 총 410억 4천만 원의 사업비를 투입해 문산 지역을 새롭게 단장한다.
사업비는 국비 132억 3천만 원, 지방비 103억 2천만 원, 부처 연계 174억 8천만 원으로 구성된다.

'평화로드 문산'으로 명명된 이번 프로젝트는 문산천, 문산역, 자유시장 등 주요 거점을 자전거 친화적 공간으로 연계하는 것이 핵심이다.
