브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 이재용 삼성전자 회장이 22일 기흥과 화성 반도체 캠퍼스를 잇따라 방문해 차세대 반도체 기술 경쟁력을 점검하고 임직원들을 격려했다.
이 회장은 이날 오전 삼성전자 기흥캠퍼스 내 차세대 연구개발 시설인 NRD-K를 찾아 연구개발(R&D) 현황을 살펴보고 메모리, 파운드리, 시스템반도체 등 차세대 제품과 기술 경쟁력을 점검했다. NRD-K는 삼성전자가 미래 반도체 기술 선점을 위해 구축한 최첨단 복합 R&D 단지로, 공정 미세화에 따른 기술적 한계 극복과 첨단 반도체 설계 기술 개발이 진행되고 있다.
오후에는 화성캠퍼스를 방문해 디지털 트윈과 로봇 기술을 적용한 제조 자동화 시스템 구축 현황과 인공지능(AI) 기술 활용 현황을 점검했다.
이 회장은 화성캠퍼스에서 전영현 DS부문장, 송재혁 DS부문 CTO 등 반도체 사업 주요 경영진과 함께 글로벌 첨단 반도체 산업의 흐름과 향후 전략에 대해 논의했다. 이어 HBM, D1c, V10 등 최첨단 반도체 제품의 사업화에 기여한 개발·제조·품질 부문 직원들과 간담회를 갖고 현장의 의견을 청취했다.
