이재명 대통령이 23일 “해양수산부 장관이 공석인데 후임 장관을 가급적 부산 지역 인재를 구하려 노력 중"이라고 전했다.
이 대통령은 이날 낮 부산 동구 해양수산부 청사에서 열린 제55회 국무회의 모두 발언에서 "해양수산부 이전은 국토균형발전·부산 도약의 중대 계기가 될 것”이라며 이같이 밝혔다.
그러면서 "정부는 부산이 대한민국을 넘어 동북아시아 대표 경제·산업·물류 중심 도시로 발돋움 할 수 있게 재정·행정 등 모든 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”며 “항만 시설 확충·고부가 가치 서비스 제공·지역 산업 성장 지원을 통해 부산·동남권을 북극항로 시대 선도 주인공으로 만들겠다”고 했다.
