제2회 안양시 의정대상 시상식 개최…지역사회 발전에 기여한 공로

안양지역 발전과 지방자치 실현에 앞장서 온 주역을 발굴해 시상하는 ‘제2회 안양시 의정대상’ 시상식이 성황리에 개최됐다. 

안양시의정회(회장 조용덕)는 22일 오후 2시 안양시의회 회의실에서 ‘제2회 안양시 의정대상 시상식’을 개최했다. 이날 행사에는 이재정 국회의원, 박준모 안양시의회 의장, 조용덕 안양시의정회장을 비롯해 안양지역 도•시의원, 내외 귀빈과 수상자 가족 등 150여명이 참석해 자리를 빛냈다. 의정대상 심사는 공정성, 객관성, 공익성을 원칙으로 서류심사와 정량·정성 평가, 심사위원 종합평가를 거쳐 최종 수상자를 확정했다. 심사위원장은 주삼식 전 성결대 총장이 맡았다.

지방자치•정치 부문에서는 이재정 국회의원(안양 동안을)이 최우수 국회의원상을 수상했으며 김성수 도의원, 박준모 안양시의회 의장, 김보영 안양시의원이 각각 우수 의원상을 받았다. 이어 의정회 공로상은 이재선 안양대 평생교육원 지도교수에게 주어졌으며 지역사회 발전 부문은 설봉 진관 스님(심재윤 보문학원 이사장·보장사 주지)이, 문화예술체육 부문은 박귀종 안양시체육회장이 수상의 영광을 받았다.

산업•경제 부문에는 경기일보 독자권익위원장인 전봉학 ㈜팬물산 대표이사, 행정•법조 부문 유병두 법부법인 와이케이 대표변호사(전 수원지검 안양지청장), 사회봉사 부문에 정윤주 사임당갤러리 대표 등 총 10명이 선정됐다.

심사위원단은 “시민사회•학계•종교계•교육계 전문가와 외부위원으로 구성돼 심사의 공정성을 높였다”고 밝혔다. 주삼식 심사위원장은 심사총평에서 “본 심사는 지역 현안에 실질적인 성과를 창출하고 안양시민을 위한 체감도가 높고 지역사회 발전과 꾸준한 성과를 평가한다는 점에서 큰 의미가 있다”라며 “이번 심사는 순위를 가리는 자리가 아니라 안양시 의정대상의 가치를 함께 공유하고 격려하는 시상 과정이었음을 말씀드린다”고 말했다.

조용덕 회장은 “한 해 동안 안양을 빛낸 시민을 발굴해 최고의 권위와 전통을 가진 의정대상을 수여하게 돼 뜻깊다”며 “앞으로도 시민 눈높이에 맞는 엄정한 심사를 통해 자랑스러운 시민참여형 ‘행복한 의정대상’으로 자리매김할 수 있도록 만들어 가겠다”고 말했다.
