【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=증평삼보사회복지관은 충북자동차전문정비사업조합인 카포스 증평지회와 중부상사, 한일정유, 제일비엔티 등 카포스 협력업체가 23일 복지관을 방문해 저소득가정 학생들의 학업 지원을 위한 장학금 180만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.
오종식 관장은 “매년 복지사각지대에 놓인 학생들에게 장학금을 지원해 주신 카포스 증평지회와 협력업체 관계자분께 감사의 말씀을 드린다”며“장학금은 도움이 필요한 학생들에게 전달해 학업에 전념할 수 있도록 전달 하겠다”고 말했다.
홍상혁 회장은 “학업과 생활에 어려움을 겪는 학생들이 환경의 제약 없이 공부할 수 있도록 작은 정성을 보탠다”며“중부상사, 한일정유, 제일비엔티 등 카포스 협력업체에서도 후원에 동참해 따뜻한 배움의 가치를 실현할 수 있어 기쁘게 생각한다”고 전했다.
한편, 카포스 증평지회는 2009년부터 장학금을 지원하고 있으며 17년간 장학금으로 총 3150만 원·105명의 학생에게 장학금을 전달했다. 이와 함께 매년 어르신의 식사 대접 사업과 이불 지원, 저소득가정의 학업 지원 등 지역 내 소외계층을 위한 후원을 해오고 있다.
