[브레이크뉴스=정철규 기자] 한국남동발전이 국민권익위원회가 주관한 2025년도 종합청렴도 평가에서 1등급을 달성해 다시 한 번 ‘1등 공기업’의 위상을 대내외에 입증했다고 24일 밝혔다.
국민권익위원회는 23일 국가 공공기관 709개 기관을 대상으로 실시한 종합청렴도 평가 결과를 발표했으며 한국남동발전은 최고 등급인 1등급을 받았다.
이번 평가에서 한국남동발전은 공직유관단체 1그룹 32개 기관 가운데 최상위 성적을 거뒀으며, 해당 그룹에서 1등급을 받은 기관은 단 두 곳에 불과했다.
남동발전은 지난해 대비 내·외부 청렴 체감도 점수가 1.4점 상승했고, 청렴 노력도 점수는 7.7점 상승하는 등 전반적인 지표에서 높은 평가를 받았다.
강기윤 사장은 지난해 11월 취임 이후 강력한 윤리경영 의지를 바탕으로 CEO 주재 청렴윤리 혁신회의를 신설하고, 업무 특성에 맞춘 리스크 분석을 추진해 왔다.
또 남동발전 인사·계약·예산 등 중점 취약 분야에 대해 체계적인 개선 전략을 추진하는 등 최고경영자의 반부패 혁신 노력이 이번 1등급 달성의 핵심 요인으로 평가된다.
한국남동발전은 지난 6월 정부 경영평가에서도 A등급을 획득했으며, 절대평가 부문에서는 S등급을 받아 A등급 기관 중에서도 최상위 수준의 평가를 받았다.
