농기계 임대사업은 고가 농기계 구매에 따른 농업인의 부담을 덜고, 농번기 인력 부족 해소를 목적으로 마련됐다.
총 8천여 대의 임대 농기계가 활용됐으며, 임대 기간 농기계 사용 요령과 안전 수칙, 비상 상황 발생 시 응급조치 등에 관한 현장 중심의 지도와 사용자 교육도 진행했다.
