【충북 브레이크뉴스】김봉수 기자=충북 진천종박물관이 개관 20주년을 맞아 추진한 전시실 개편공사를 마치고 29일 새로운 모습으로 군민과 방문객 앞에 다시 섰다.
진천종박물관의 새단장을 기념하기 위한 개관식은 지난 20년의 성과를 돌아보고, 미래 비전을 선언하는 의미 있는 자리로 마련됐다.
이날 행사에는 지역 인사, 문화예술인, 주민, 관람객 등 다수가 참석해 박물관의 새 출발을 축하했다.
1부 공식행사에서는 박물관의 발자취와 전시실 개편사업의 경과를 나눴으며, 박물관 발전에 기여한 유공자들에게 감사의 뜻을 전하는 자리로 꾸며졌다.
2부 행사에서는 새로워진 전시 공간을 관람하고 직접 체험하는 시간을 마련해 참여자들과 소통하는 시간을 가졌다.
개편공사 기간 임시 휴관했던 박물관은 30일부터 본격적으로 운영을 재개한다.
특히 개관 20주년을 기념한 특별전 ‘컬렉션, 예술이 되다’가 오는 2026년 4월 5일까지 개최되며, 박물관 휴관 동안 기다려준 방문객에게 감사의 마음을 전하고자 별도 공지 전까지 무료로 개방된다.
다만 매주 월요일과 1월 1일, 설날, 추석 당일은 휴관한다.
박근환 군 문화관광과장은 “진천종박물관은 지난 20년간 우리 지역의 소중한 문화자산으로 자리매김해왔다”며 “앞으로도 전시, 교육, 체험 프로그램을 다채롭게 마련해 관람객과 한층 가까워지는 박물관으로 가꿔 나가겠다”라고 말했다.
