세종시, 2025년 종무식 개최…

세종특별자치시가 한 해를 마무리하며 공직자들의 노고를 격려하고, 대한민국 유일의 미래전략수도이자 한글문화도시로 도약하기 위한 새해 각오를 다졌다.

시는 12월 31일 시청 여민실에서 최민호 시장과 공직자들이 참석한 가운데 2025년 종무식을 개최했다. 이번 행사는 한 해 동안 시정 현안을 추진해 온 직원들의 노력을 되돌아보고, 새로운 출발을 다짐하는 화합의 자리로 마련됐다.

이날 종무식은 축하 공연을 시작으로 ‘언론인이 뽑은 세종시 10대 뉴스’ 영상 상영, 정부 포상 전수, 우수 부서 및 유공 공무원 시상, 최민호 시장의 송년사 순으로 진행됐다.

최 시장은 송년사에서 “올해는 본립도생(本立道生)의 자세로 세종시의 기본과 본질을 다지는 한 해였다”며 “충청권 광역급행철도(CTX) 민자적격성 조사 통과와 투자유치 우수 지자체 선정 등 의미 있는 성과를 거두었다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 행정수도 건설 특별법 발의와 행정수도 완성이 새 정부 국정과제로 반영된 점을 언급하며 “세종이 진정한 행정중심복합도시에서 대한민국의 미래전략수도로 나아갈 기반이 마련됐다”고 평가했다.

올해 추진된 한글문화도시 정책도 눈에 띄는 성과로 꼽혔다. 한글 전담 조직 신설을 통해 세종한글축제와 한글 국제프레비엔날레를 성공적으로 개최해 총 36만 명이 방문했고, ‘세계를 잇는 한글문화도시 세종’으로 도시브랜드 대상을 수상하는 성과를 거뒀다.

최 시장은 “세종이 2년 연속 전국에서 가장 살기 좋은 도시로 선정된 것은 공직자 여러분의 헌신 덕분”이라며 “2026년에도 한마음으로 협력해 대한민국 미래전략수도의 비전을 완성해 나가자”고 당부했다.
