[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 국립부경대학교가 2026학년도 정시모집에서 개교 이래 가장 높은 경쟁률을 기록했다.
부경대 입학본부에 따르면 지난 12월 29일부터 31일까지 진행된 원서접수 결과, 총 768명 모집에 5,524명이 지원해 평균 7.19대 1의 경쟁률을 나타냈다. 지난해 5.61대 1보다 크게 상승했다.
모집군별로는 ▲가군 5.87대 1(364명 모집, 2,135명 지원) ▲나군 6.06대 1(293명, 1,775명) ▲다군 14.54대 1(111명, 1,614명)로 다군 경쟁률이 가장 높았다.
일반전형에서는 다군 스마트헬스케어학부(휴먼바이오융합전공)가 3명 모집에 90명이 지원해 30대 1로 최고 경쟁률을 보였다. 사회계열(법학·중국학·정치외교학)도 22대 1(5명 모집, 110명 지원)로 뒤를 이었다.
가군에서는 응용수학과(14.6대 1)와 물리학과(11.83대 1), 나군에서는 해양공학과(14.6대 1)와 생물공학과(13.8대 1)가 높은 경쟁률을 기록했다.
예체능계열 실기고사는 1월 12일(공업디자인전공·해양스포츠전공), 21일(시각디자인전공)에 실시되며, 최종 합격자는 1월 30일 학교 홈페이지를 통해 발표된다.

Pukyong National University has recorded its highest-ever competition rate for the 2026 regular admission, reflecting rising interest from prospective students.
According to the university’s Office of Admissions, applications were accepted from December 29 to 31, drawing 5,524 applicants for 768 openings—an average competition ratio of 7.19 to 1. This marks a sharp increase from last year’s 5.61 to 1 (4,481 applicants for 799 openings).
By admission group, competition rates stood at 5.87 to 1 in Group A (2,135 applicants for 364 openings), 6.06 to 1 in Group B (1,775 applicants for 293 openings), and 14.54 to 1 in Group C (1,614 applicants for 111 openings), with Group C showing the highest rate.
Among general admission departments, the Smart Healthcare Major (Human Bio Convergence) recorded the most intense competition at 30 to 1 (90 applicants for 3 openings) in Group C, followed by the Social Sciences cluster—Law, Chinese Studies, and Political Science & Diplomacy—at 22 to 1 (110 applicants for 5 openings).
In Group A, Applied Mathematics showed the highest rate at 14.6 to 1, followed by Physics at 11.83 to 1. In Group B, Ocean Engineering recorded 14.6 to 1, and Biological Engineering 13.8 to 1.
Practical exams for arts and physical education programs will be held on January 12 (Industrial Design and Marine Sports) and January 21 (Visual Design). Final results will be announced on January 30 via the university website.
