민주당 이춘희 전 시장, 12일 세종시장 출마선언

더불어민주당 이춘희 전 세종시장이 12일 세종시장 선거 출마를 공식 선언했다.

이 전 시장은 12일 세종시청에서 기자회견을 열고 "이제 행정중심복합도시 시대를 마감하고 올해부터 행정수도 세종 시대 원년으로 만들겠다"고 밝혔다.

또 "현재 논의되고 있는 대전·충남 통합에 이어 추진될 충청권 전체 통합에 적극 대응하겠다"며"세종시가 그 중심에 서는 미래를 준비해야 한다"고 강조했다.

그는 특히  세종을 국정 중심지로 만들기 위해 정부이전 ,도시계획,교통체계, 도시환경 조성 등을 제시했다.

이 전 시장은 국토교통부 출신으로 초대 행정중심복합도시건설청장, 건설교통부 차관, 민선 2-3기 세종시장을 역임했다.

현재는 이재명 정부의 지방시대위원회 행정수도 완성 특별위원회 위원장을 맡고 있다.
