<브레이크뉴스 속초=이용하 기자>속초시가 고유가와 수산자원 감소 등으로 어려움을 겪는 어업인들의 경영 안정과 안전한 조업 환경 조성을 위해 대규모 지원에 나선다.
시는 안정적인 어업 경영 개선과 지역 수산식품 산업 육성을 골자로 하는 ‘2026년도 해양수산사업’ 지원 사업자를 모집한다고 13일 밝혔다.
올해 지원 규모는 약 14억 원으로, 총 3개 분야 20개 사업이 추진된다. 주요 분야별로는 ▲문어연승용 봉돌 및 어구실명제 표지기 제작 등 어업 지원(7개 사업) ▲어선사고 예방시스템 및 친환경 에너지 절감 장비 구축 등 안전조업 지원(9개 사업) ▲강원 명태산업 특구 브랜드 홍보마케팅 등 수산물 유통·가공 지원(4개 사업) 등이다.

지원 대상은 사업별 신청 요건을 갖춘 어업인이나 단체 등으로, 참여를 희망할 경우 오는 2월 6일까지 사업신청서와 관련 서류를 작성해 속초시청 해양수산과 또는 속초시수협, 대포수협에 방문 접수하면 된다.
속초시 관계자는 “이번 해양수산사업이 어업 환경 개선은 물론 실질적인 소득 증대와 복지 증진으로 이어지길 기대한다”며, “어업인들의 적극적인 관심과 참여를 부탁드린다”고 전했다.
