당진시, 철강산업 위기 선제대응 지역 지정 촉구…노·사·민·정 한목소리

충남 당진시가 지역 핵심 산업인 철강산업의 위기 대응을 위해 정부의 제도적 개입을 촉구하고 나섰다.

당진시는 13일 당진근로자종합복지관 대강당에서 열린 「당진시 철강산업 위기 선제대응 지역 지정 촉구 공동 성명서 발표식」을 통해 당진 철강노동조합 협의회를 비롯한 지역 주요 경제·사회 단체와 함께 공동 대응 의지를 밝혔다.

이번 행사는 철강 경기 침체의 장기화와 산업 전환 가속화로 인한 고용 및 지역경제 위기를 선제적으로 막기 위한 취지로 마련됐다. 발표식에는 철강산업 6개사 노동조합 위원장과 당진시, 상공회의소, 소상공인연합회, 노사민정협의회 등 관계자들이 참석해 정부의 빠른 지원 필요성에 뜻을 모았다.

공동 성명서에는 당진시의 철강산업 위기 선제대응 지역 지정 요청 ,K-스틸법 시행령 제정 촉구 등의 내용이 담겼다.
