인천대에 따르면, 지난 12일 오후 1시부터 5시까지 인천 미추홀구 일원에서 진행된 이번 사회공헌 프로그램에는 인천대학교 법학부 재학생과 조교 등 20명, 미추홀장애인종합복지관 관계자 및 봉사자 10여 명 등 총 30명이 함께 참여했다.
이번 활동은 인천대학교 법학부가 지역사회와의 연대 속에서 대학의 사회적 책임을 실천하고자 2023년부터 지속적으로 추진해 온 지역 연계 사회공헌 프로그램의 일환으로 마련됐다.
이날 학생들은 미추홀구 내 장애인 가정 9곳을 직접 방문해 생필품을 전달했다.
즉석밥과 라면, 휴지, 레토르트 식품 등 일상에 꼭 필요한 물품들이 각 가정의 상황을 고려해 정성껏 포장됐으며 물품 분류와 포장, 전달까지 전 과정에 학생들이 직접 참여하며 봉사의 의미를 더했다
특히, 이번 프로그램은 학생 주도 방식으로 운영되었다는 점에서 의미가 깊다.
참여 학생들은 3개 조로 나뉘어 복지관과 사전 협의를 거친 가정을 도보로 방문했고, 짧은 시간이지만 안부를 묻고 인사를 나누는 과정을 통해 단순한 지원을 넘어 마음을 건네는 시간을 가졌다.

한편, 인천대학교 사회봉사센터 역시 본 프로그램의 취지에 공감해 생필품을 추가 구입·기증하며 활동에 동참했고, 해당 물품은 미추홀장애인종합복지관을 통해 관내 장애인 가정에 같이 전달됐으며 대학과 지역 기관이 함께 만들어낸 연대의 결과였다.
